Be secure. Gentex photoelectric smoke detectors will let you know when there is a fire with a loud alarm and a strobe light! Perfect for people who are hard of hearing or deaf.

This Gentex model has a 90dB temporal 3 sounder and high intensity strobe light that will flash 60 times per minute upon activation of the alarm. The detector will automatically return to stand-by mode after the smoke has cleared.

Most photoelectric smoke detectors are designed to be hard-wired into an electric system. This portable Gentex model is specifically designed with 9 ft electrical cords that allows it to be plugged into any room.

ADA Compliance:
The Americans With Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG) recommend any room or space required to have a visual signal shall be no more than 50 ft from the mounted signal.

These smoke alarm detectors are UL listed, and compliant with ANSI 117.1 of the American National Standard for Building and Facilities Providing Accessibility And Usability for Physically Handicapped People.

Battery back-up and audible low battery chirp. Requires a 9 volt battery (included). (Flashing strobe alarm will not function on battery back-up.)

Note: Testing has shown that high flash rates of high intensity strobe lights can be a risk of seizure to people with photosensitivity epilepsy.
